STREET MOVIES! 2024 - coming August 2024
27th Annual Street Movies!
Outdoor films, music, dance & poetry FREE!
STREET MOVIES! OPEN CALL:
Street Movies! is back, and Scribe Video Center is accepting short film submissions from filmmakers for the 27th annual outdoor screening event series taking place later this year.
About the series: Street Movies! is a free screening series presented by Scribe Video Center, a non-profit media arts center. The series tours neighborhoods, parks, lots, playgrounds, and community spaces in the Philadelphia area and presents a program of live performance and independent cinema, followed by a community discussion of topics raised in the films. Each screening is hosted by a community organization based in the neighborhood where the event is produced.
Call for Work: We are looking for well-crafted, thought-provoking work of any genre, including family-friendly pieces. We screen a wide selection of documentary, narrative, experimental, animation works, and more. Filmmakers receive an honorarium if selected, and work may be screened at multiple sites throughout the series. Films should be 30 minutes or less in length.
There is no submission fee to submit. If interested, please send a copy of your film (link or DVD) with a brief synopsis, contact info, and digital images to:
