In this course, Rashid Zakat, video artist and filmmaker, will share various techniques on pushing the practice of DJ’ing into the visual realm. Participants will use a range of editing programs to create haptic audio visual content, and be introduced to non-linear editing styles for the purpose of creating their own video remixes. Experience in DJing is not required, beginner experience with editing programs such as Premiere Pro is suggested.
 
Rashid Zakat (b. Baltimore, 1984) is a video artist based in Philadelphia. Rashid’s work over the past two decades comprises short films, documentaries, music videos and commercial work.
