WINTER 2012 Workshops Schedule

Put an end to distorted and noisy audio! Learn the important steps in making audio a quality part of your next project. This special two-part workshop will look at the important considerations for field audio recording, particularly with digital camcorders. You will learn the step-by-step process of setting up and selecting audio gear for an audio or video production within your budget. Experience hands on training with audio accessories, microphones, mixers, and wirelesses. The workshop will also look at some of the newest technological innovations for digital video-sound recording.

This workshop is open to all young people ages 11 to 19.

How do you master a mixer? How do you cope with difficult sound situations? What are the pros and cons of wireless microphones? This special two-part workshop will look at important considerations for field recording, particularly with miniDV camcorder productions, including choosing the proper gear for your project. The workshop will also look at some of the newest technological innovations for digital video sound recordings.
This master class is geared for artists who want to incorporate multimedia (music, digital video, animation) into their performances or installations. Participants will create a short multimedia piece using the custom visual software developed by Sharif Ezzat, using images of their choice. Basic computer knowledge is required and experience with Photoshop is highly recommended.
