NETWORKS OF RESISTANCE | A Special Exhibition & Screening Event

The Imaginary Line (USA, 2019, 26 min) by Paper Tiger TV, Marisa Holmes. The wall along the U.S./Mexico border has been a heated topic since Trump began his run for the presidency. Now, construction on the wall is actually under way and cutting through the borderlands. The ImaginaryLine captures the network of resistance and offers a meditation on lines drawn by nations, communities, and ourselves.

Sanctuary Stories: A Collaborative Multimedia Storytelling Project (USA, 2019, 20 min)
by Ariel Goodman and Colorado’s Sanctuary leaders: Rosa Sabido, Sandra Lopez, Ingrid Encalada Latorre, and Araceli Velasquez. Created out of a desire to tell their stories in their own voices, through interactive media, and original music compositions, the project offers a moving portrait of countries of origin, stories of migration, growth as individuals and as activists, and perspectives on the system that now confines them.
