Square Stories Trilogy with Salem Mekuria (Ethiopia, USA, 2010-2019)

Resisting a single narrative, The Square Stories Trilogy is an experience of overlapping sounds and sights which capture the personal and collective histories of Maskal Square, the largest and only public square in the country of Ethiopia.

Salem Mekuria is Professor Emerita of Art at Wellesley College. Her award winning documentary films and video installations feature Ethiopian subjects and have been shown internationally.
