Photographs, found footage, newspaper clippings, letters and journal entries - archival materials are some of the richest storytelling resources available, but how do you navigate the huge volume of possibilities? In this special learning session, Rebecca Kent will draw on her experience as an archive producer to show class participants the process of discovering and using archival material for film and media projects.

Rebecca Kent is an investigative producer with expertise in archival research, rights, and clearances. Her credits include the recently released and critically acclaimed documentary Ailey, as well as the award-winning documentary Amanda Knox which premiered on Netflix in 2016; Crooked Media’s The Wilderness, a fifteen-episode audio documentary on the history and future of the Democratic party; and PBS’s The Black Panthers: Vanguard Of The Revolution.
