In 2008, indy digital video makers use mixed formats – Standard Definition (SD) and High Definition (HD). How do you marry multiple formats and perhaps even multiple aspect ratios (wide screen, letter box and 4:3) in post-production to create a technically coherent project? Apple’s Final Cut Pro 6 non-linear editing software offers a variety of solutions, but producers must begin with a workflow plan to avoid surprises as they move through the stages of field recording, compression, downloading, setting preferences, editing and outputting to DVD.
This seminar is for producers and editors who have experience with Final Cut Pro who are now using HD and HDV formats and must navigate multi-format production and distribution.
