Who's Funding What... and What About MY Film!!
Saturday, March 29 from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm
Foundation commitments to funding independent media have changed but not evaporated. There are foundations seeking out media projects to support. But how do media makers navigate this fluid environment? Longtime advocate of independent filmmakers, Alyce Myattwill introduce participants to current funders who are supportive of media and offer recommendations on how to determine if a funder is right for your project and ways of establishing relationships with potential funders.
Alyce Myatt is Managing Director of Grantmakers in Film + Electronic Media (GFEM). She previously worked as a consultant providing analysis and strategic planning services for independent media organizations and the philanthropic community including the Council on Foundations, the National Alliance for Media Arts and Culture (NAMAC) and the Women Donors Network. Previous to re-joining PBS, Myatt was program officer for media at the John D. and Catherine T.
