Super 8 Hand-processing

Friday, August 10 from 6:00 - 9:00 PM includes Storyville screening & Saturday, August 11 from 11:00 AM - 5:00 PM followed by a 7:00 PM screening.
Super 8 film continues to be a popular movie maker’s medium, with its unique look and feel. Hand-processing is an adventurous hands-on technique that adds character and texture to your footage. Participants will have access to Super-8 cameras to shoot an in-camera film, 1 roll of Super 8 film and all the chemicals and supplies required for processing. Day One covers how to use a Super 8 camera, film stocks, speeds and processing options. Instructors will also screen works by Super 8 filmmakers. On Day Two, come to class with your roll of exposed Super 8 film and learn the chemistry of hand-processing.
And at the end of class, your newly developed roll of film will be loaded into the Super 8 projector and screened in celebration of Home Movie Day at Scribe at 7:00 PM!
