How do you master a mixer? How do you cope with difficult sound situations? What are the pros and cons of wireless microphones? This special two-part workshop will look at important considerations for field recording, particularly with miniDV camcorder productions, including choosing the proper gear for your project. The workshop will also look at some of the newest technological innovations for digital video sound recordings.

INSTRUCTOR: Seth Mulliken is an assistant professor in media production at Villanova University. He holds a B.A. in Film from Antioch College, and an M.F.A. in Film and Media Arts from Temple University. He is a filmmaker and has worked with art and media collectives in Prague, as well as with activist organizations in Philadelphia. He has been a sound recordist and post-production editor on numerous independent productions.
