Journalist Shenid Bhayroo directs this audio production workshop to help participants develop the skills to be a community journalist and produce radio documentaries. The workshop topic is, “Where can we find fresh, healthy foods in West Philadelphia?” Over the course of six weeks, workshop participants learn research and interview techniques, field recording and audio editing, while creating a finished radio documentary, to be broadcast on community radio station WPEB 88.1 FM.

INSTRUCTOR: Shenid Bhayroo has worked as an investigative journalist and producer for South Africa's public broadcaster (SABC), and has worked as a freelance journalist, producer, cameraperson, and video editor for foreign media in South Africa. Shenid has taught broadcast journalism and audiovisual communication at the University of Johannesburg, Louisiana State University, and is on faculty at Temple University.
