In this Special Presentation, founding President of the National Black Programming Consortium, Mable Haddock will help participants identify who is currently funding what in the non-profit and foundation arena.  She will share her expertise in grant proposal writing and the review process and give examples of funded film proposals.  Ms. Haddock will also provide tips on making the best of your grant, laying the groundwork for the next grant and managing your limited resources in an economic downturn.

INSTRUCTOR: Mable Haddock has spent the past three decades advocating for and supporting social issue media and media makers of color. In her role as Executive Director & Founder of the National Black Programming Consortium (NBPC), Ms. Haddock helped get several mini series on the national public television schedule, including Unnatural Causes and Matters of Race (for which she helped raised over 3 million dollars). She also provided partial funding support to hundreds of Black social documentary producers. Currently, she serves as the Director of the Producers’ Lab for Firelight Media.
