Introduction to Adobe AfterEffects

Incorporate a stylized title, motion effect or animated sequence in your video. Adobe AfterEffects is a sophisticated, creative program for motion graphics, animation and other special effects. In this hands-on workshop learn how to integrate these effects with live video using Final Cut Pro.   Participants should be Mac-comfortable and worked with Final Cut Pro or other editing programs. Come prepared to work on an idea for a ten-second piece by bringing a still image, a piece of music and/or a QuickTime movie to work with in class. Participants may arrange to have their pieces digitized or scanned prior to the start of class.

Emmy award winning Michael O'Reilly works full-time as a producer at WHYY TV-12, producing the ART segment for the monthly hidef show FRIDAY ARTS using a stock iMac running After Effects and Final Cut Pro. He has worked with AE for about 15 years and has taught at workshops and schools for longer than that. He is the recipient of fellowships from the NEA, PCA and the Pew Fellowships in the Arts and graduated from Temple University in 200 with an MFA in Film and Media Arts.
