Are you responsible for updating, maintaining and creating content for your organization's website? This workshop designed for people who want to develop and visualize their concept for a short video – documentary or fiction – before they start shooting, will give students an opportunity to focus their video story idea and practice mapping images to words. At the end of the workshop each participant will have developed their story by creating a log line and a story image map. Participants will be encouraged to share progress and support each other beyond the confines of the workshop.
INSTRUCTORS: Margie Strosser is an award winning producer, director and writer in television and film whose projects include the documentary Rape Stories, the fictional works Strange Weather and Moon Juice, and three seasons of Birth Day, the Discovery Health Channel’s highest rated daytime show.
Caroline Savage has an MFA in Film. She has taught film production in universities, in both humanities and art school programs. She has mentored graduate and undergraduate students, guiding them to focus on creative control of image quality, sound design and text so they can learn the visual and aural language of moving images. She currently is Coordinator at PIFVA and assists filmmakers in completing their projects.
