Camera and Lighting Schematics for Videography

Through hands-on exercises, participants will practice shooting using different lighting schemes and camera configurations that can be easily duplicated to achieve a consistent look and mood throughout their projects.  Participants will learn how to light and shoot different situations including multi-subject interviews using various backdrops.  Participants will also learn how to set up and light for multi-camera shoots while learning advanced camera functions.  Basic knowledge of basic camera operation is required.

INSTRUCTOR: Videographer and lighting tech Carlton Jones has his feet in both the independent and commercial worlds. He was one of the first instructors to teach videomaking at Scribe. He has shot and lit numerous independent narrative and documentary films including works by Tina Morton, Nadine Patterson and Louis Massiah. Carlton made the documentary Paul Keene about the Philadelphia-born African American artist.
