Street Movies Undercover at Center in the Park

Founded in 1968, the programs at Center in the Park (CIP) are meant to provide opportunities for older adults to participate in social, recreational, health and fitness, arts and humanities and lifelong learning activities. This Street Movies! at CIP, a current Precious Places Community History Project participant, will feature Precious Places videos including Villa African Colobo (2006, 10:31 min) by Grupo Motivos about Norris Square’s first African garden and Next Stop: Freedom (2005, 10:48 min) by Frankford Group Ministry, an oral history of Frankford, exploring the neighborhood’s possible ties to the Underground Railroad.
