Green’s films depict the absurd world we live in.  Four films using mixed media explore themes of homelessness, racism and the black experience in varied U.S. locales (Philadelphia, Maryland, Kentucky)  The Philadelphia Bicycle Vignette Story (2016), Something In The Way Of Things [In Town] (2007) featuring Amiri Baraka, William’s Plight (2005), and A Variation On Three Funerals (2006).

 

Preceded by I Do What I Do, So I Can Do Want (1990, 4 min) by Larry Moses, a musing about making a living cleaning and pursuing his dreams as an artist.  I Do What I Want (2014, 7 min) by Olivia Haynes, a glimpse into the lives of poets Ursula Rucker and Stephanie Renee and how they incorporate art forms into their poetry.
