Precious Places Premieres on WHYY TV 12, Sunday nights at 11:30 pm into January 2008
On Sunday, October 7, 2007, Scribe Video Center’s Precious Places Community History Project premieres on WHYY TV 12 at 11:30 PM. Get a preview of this week's show. The 14 programs will begin airing on October 7, 2007 and continue weekly into January 2008. Produced and directed by neighborhood residents from 42 diverse communities from across Philadelphia, Camden, NJ, Chester, PA, and Ardmore, PA, this collection of portraits of "precious places" combines oral history, personal archives and contemporary footage to redefine the region. Some of these short documentaries uncover long forgotten histories, some explore contemporary issues; all celebrate the places we call home.
