Scribe's West Philadelphia office space is accessible by elevator, and has wide doorways, hallways and ADA-compliant bathrooms. The front door or our new building is outfitted with an automatic opener.
Description of Equipment and Facility
The third floor facility boasts 3500 square feet of usable space. There are four workshop rooms ranging from 120 to 200 square feet in size, one of which is often used as a conference room and small screening room; the second, third and fourth rooms boast post-production editing equipment for film, audio and video and can hold 8 to 10 students and an instructor; the fourth room is used primarily by up to 10 Documentary History Project for Youth students and their two facilitators during the day.
There are also two small (approximately 50 square feet and 65 square feet) contained and sound separated edit suites for film, audio and video; they can hold a maximum of three people each. The central open area in the Scribe offices is approximately 1000 sq. ft. and is used for screenings and meetings or lectures of no more than 75 people.
A tape library room takes up about 70 square feet and also includes some film and video texts and periodicals.
