Public Transportation

Scribe is located on the 21 Bus Route which heads west on Walnut Street and east on Chestnut Street. Buses run approximately every 15 minutes. And Scribe is only 4 blocks from the 40th Street stop on the Market Frankford Line.

Street parking is available.

Driving Directions: From East (New York & New Jersey)

  • Take the New Jersey Turnpike South to Exit 4 (Route 73).
  • Go one mile on Route 73 North and take the exit for Route 38 West.
  • Take 38 West towards Philadelphia to route 30 West (follow signs for the Benjamin Franklin Bridge).
  • Go over the bridge and follow the signs for I-676 West. (Vine Street Expressway)
  • Take I-676 West for about one mile — stay right.
  • Take exit for Phila Airport, 30th St Station, 76 East -- this exit will curve around, stay right and exit immediately at 30th Street Station.
  • At top of exit ramp turn right, follow street around 30th St train station (which will now be on your left).
  • At the 3rd traffic light turn right onto Market St (this is a large 2 way street).
  • Continue on Market St until you reach 44th St. Turn left onto 44th.
  • Continue 2 blocks on 44th to first traffic light, turn left onto Chestnut St.
  • Continue on Chestnut, cross over 43rd St -- look for a place to park. There should be plenty of non-metered parking around.
  • Scribe is on the right hand side of the street between 43rd & 42nd Streets.

Driving Directions: West and North

  • Take 76 East to Exit for 30th Street Station.
  • At top of exit ramp turn right, follow street around 30th St train station (which will now be on your left).
  • At the 3rd traffic light turn right onto Market St (this is a large 2 way street).
  • Continue on Market St until you reach 44th St. Turn left onto 44th.
  • Continue 2 blocks on 44th to first traffic light, turn left onto Chestnut St.

Driving Directions: From South (Delaware)

  • From I-95 South: Take the PA-291 exit, exit number 11, towards I-76 W/Central Philadelphia. Keep right at the fork in the ramp. Keep left at the fork in the ramp.
  • Merge onto Penrose Avenue. Stay straight to go onto George C. Platt Memorial Bridge. George C. Platt Memorial Bridge becomes Penrose Avenue.
  • Turn left onto S 26th Street. S 26th Street becomes I-76 W. Take the exit, exit number 41, towards University Avenue/Civic Center.
  • Stay straight to go onto S 34th Street. S 34th Street becomes S University Avenue.
  • Stay straight to go onto S 38th Street.
  • Turn left onto Walnut.
  • Turn right onto 43rd Street, continue until next traffic light. This is Chestnut Street.
  • Turn right onto Chestnut -- look for a place to park. There should be plenty of non-metered parking around.
  • Scribe is on the right hand side of the street between 43rd & 42nd Streets.
